Microwaved Aromatic Dough Ornaments

2 3/4 c flour
3/4 c. salt
1/4 c. Cinnamon
1 T allspice
1 T cloves
3/4 tsp alum powder
1 1/4 c water

1. combine dry ingredients in medium mixing bowl mix well. Add water mix well to form dough. Shape dough into ball. Knead on a lightly floured surface for about 5 min. or until dough is smooth.
2. Working with small amounts of dough, roll to 1/4inch cut into shapes. store dough in plastic bag while working with other sections
3. Spray 10in pie plate with cooking spray. Place 3-4 cutouts in plate. Microwave on med/low in two min increments for about 6min or until ornaments look dry. Remove ornament to rack and set aside for 24 hours. If desired spray ornaments lightly with cooking spray for a glossier appearance.
Makes aabout 40 ornaments

I don't think you can really paint these ones but I do know you can get other recipes online to paint. These ones just come out looking like fresh baked gingerbread cookies.
