update on Axel

Well I got put on call all day so I was able to go with Brandon to the vet. They didn't really find out whats wrong, just what isn't wrong. UGH! They took xrays and drew labs, and the xray didn't show anything, and his labs came back pretty normal, but they think he may have a UTI. So they gave him a cortisone shot in his neck and gave us some other steroids to give him and some antibiotics. He still won't stand or bear weight on his legs, but he does move them on his own. He is drinking more, but I still have to just feed him water in a syringe. He ate a little food but not too much. I feel like the worst puppy parent! We just can't afford much more bills with him, today alone was a pretty big hit, not to mention the other two times we took him in. I hope these steroids work with his legs and that the antibiotics will help clear up the UTI and we can have our fun happy puppy again. Oh yeah not to mention he needs to be on limited activity for the next month, hopefully he gets his strength back though and is moving some!
I work again tomorrow but then don't have to work til Sunday. This weekend we are going boating with my fam on Saturday and having a BBQ that night out at my grandparents. I'm excited to hopefully just relax and not worry so much about the puppy, and hopefully he will be able to get better this weekend as well.
